Safety used to just be about following the rules. But the problem is, you can’t write a rule for everything.
Instead, WorkSafe wanted to empower New Zealand’s workers to be more proactive – to look for the signs of danger and, when they sense something could go wrong, to step in and prevent it.
The solution was obvious to us. New Zealanders just needed to listen to their inner-meerkats.
